Opportunities: Inspire new and existing entrepreneurs in the Rochester, NY region with “real world” stories. Was an integral part of the planning committee for the Pathways to Entrepreneurial Success Forum held at Monroe Community College in November 2009 and 2010. Rochester, NY area business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs were able learn best practices and tap into community resources.
Challenges: Develop intriguing ways to inspire existing or aspiring entrepreneurs.
Solutions: Created and moderated breakout sessions, IdeaMakers – True Confessions of Real-Life Entrepreneurs, where attendees could learn about the adventures of real-life entrepreneurs as they pursued their dreams and traveled their own pathways to success.
Results: Very favorable responses from the audiences. The informative sessions were very successful and were the best attended at the Pathways events.
